Designate State Route W in Cape Girardeau County as bicycle route. (Phase II) Add shouldering as necessary on State Route W from LaSalle Rd. intersection to MO State Highway 177 intersection in Fruitland. Use new & existing paved shoulders as striped/stenciled/signed bicycle travel lanes

Importance:
[5.3 miles] MO State Route W North - Phase II. This proposed project is an extension and completion of proposed project # 2 above. MO SR-W is currently under contract to install new shoulders on this section of roadway, so additional costs would be incurred only for lane striping and signage. This route would complete the connection between the township of Fruitland and city of Cape Girardeau. This roadway is currently used by both bicycle commuters and recreational cyclists. The MRT follows MO SR-W for several miles between MO 177 and MO SR-Y
