Fox 2: World Naked Bike Ride draws 1800 in St. Louis
Now here's somewhere we never thought we'd see a Missouri city become a nationwide leader:
Unseasonably cool weather in St. Louis Saturday meant a chilly night for the 6th Annual World Naked Ride. But that didn’t stop participants. An estimated 1,800 St. Louis cyclists in various stages of dress and undress took part in the international event.
That makes St. Louis the third largest World Naked Bike Ride of 70 participating cities, behind Portland and Philadelphia. Paul Dorlaque, founder of St. Louis Gateway Nudist and one of the event’s sponsors, said the purpose of this worldwide event is to raise awareness about oil dependency, body image and cyclists on the streets.
