The KCATA also wants to work with Kansas City to make Grand Boulevard, 11th Street and 12th Street more friendly to pedestrians, bikes and users of public transportation services. Jarrold said the KCATA would like to install new bus stops and work with the city to create designated bike lanes as well as designated areas where KCATA buses can pick up and drop off passengers.

Kansas City's Public Works Department is considering putting Grand on a "road diet," or making the street more friendly to bikers and pedestrian. Jarrold said the KCATA wants to work in conjunction with the city's plans.
