According to the original accident report from Oct. 13, Moore was driving north on Rangeline approaching Eleta Blvd. when she said she swerved to avoid an oncoming car and struck the victims, 52-year-old Michael Johnson and 44-year-old Dianna Barney. Barney died from her injuries. Johnson sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time, officers were unable to identify the wrong-way vehicle Moore said she swerved to avoid. Now they say evidence points to the fact that there was no wrong-way vehicle. It is unknown if Moore was distracted, but officers determined her driving behavior was the direct cause of the accident.
