Overland Park Bike Plan, 250 Miles of Bikeways, Goes to City Council on April 13th | BikeWalkKC

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Over the past year the City of Overland Park has been developing its first bicycle master plan, and the final plan goes to the City Council on April 13th. The plan is an ambitious yet pragmatic plan to create an on-street bike network for transportation, complementing the city and county’s extensive multi-use trail system for recreation.

BikeWalkKC represented bicyclists on the bike plan’s steering committee, and we are excited to see 250-plus miles of sharrows, bike lanes, and buffered bike lanes on the way. Several significant bike lane projects are already scheduled for construction this year.
