Be patient when teaching kids to bike - Columbia Daily Tribune | Columbia Missouri: Community
Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:
I honestly cannot remember when my kids took their first steps or what their first words were, but I remember exactly when each one learned to bike.
After many frustrating months of trying to teach Max, I felt like a failure. My kid was about to finish kindergarten, and he couldn’t ride a bike. He was not interested, and it had become a point of contention. How was it possible that I could not teach my 6-year-old to ride a bike? Clearly, I was a failure. But on June 1, 2004, I was unloading groceries when I looked up and saw Max biking down our street.
