The city and Great Rivers Greenway are embarking on a $1.7 million expansion of the Bike St. Louis project that began a decade ago to promote bicycling as a transportation option. This will be the third and largest phase of striping and construction to create street routes for bikes.

Emma Klues, with Great Rivers Greenway district, said the bicycle project was yet another way “we want to make the St. Louis region an even better place to live. We want to make sure people have transportation options.”
