Following the 5K, bicycle enthusiasts gathered in downtown Hopkins for the 30th annual 102 Valley Bicycle Tour.
The race, which began 30 years ago with the help and support of Hopkins natives Maurice Peve and Rick Woldruff, gathers cyclists from around the area.
“I just like to ride a bike,” Hopkins native Jim Cline said. “It’s great for personal health and fitness. It’s just one of those things that I like do.”
Cline has participated in 29 of the 30 races, but he had to sit out one year due to a knee surgery.
“Everybody pitches in to help out with the race,” Cline said. “It’s a community event and continues to go because everyone continues to do their part.”
