Springfield cyclists hope to grow an emerging sport that combines the centuries-old sport of polo with a ride through the park.
Mounted on bicycles instead of horses, coed teams of three players use homemade mallets to hit a small rubber ball into the opposing goal. The game can be played on grass or on a hard court.
Bike polo player Josh Collins describes the game as fun, competitive and a gathering of friends.
