Another consulting firm will take a look at the city’s streets and traffic flow if the Rolla City Council next month approves an ordinance it heard read for the first time Monday night.

Paul Wojciechowski, a principal with Alta Planning + Design Inc., Chesterfield, made the presentation on the “complete streets” strategy, tying it in part to the city’s work with UTW Realty on the Westside Marketplace concept. . . .

Hargis explained that Alta Planning’s work would include not only feeding into the Westside Marketplace capital improvement plan but would also include plans for citywide sidewalks, citywide multi-use trails, a citywide bicycle route and safe routes to school.

And Wojciechowski described the “complete streets” strategy as a “complete network” policy
