Sidewalk and Road Diet Coming to Mission Road in KCK | BikeWalkKC

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

A much-needed road diet and new sidewalk are on the way for Mission Road in Rosedale district of Kansas City, KS! The project is removing a lane of northbound Mission Road and repurposing the space with a new sidewalk between 43rd Avenue and the Belrose Manor apartments. A crosswalk will include a pedestrian refuge island to make it safer to access the very popular Rosedale Park.

We are especially excited for improved neighborhood connection to Frank Rushton Elementary School, where BikeWalkKC is supporting the weekly Walking School Bus and helping the school community improve the safety of all kids walking and biking to school. Many of the students live in Belrose Manor and needed a safer way to get to school.
