Intro

When you tour, you have a selection of electronics with you which need to be charged. Some people take very few, others love taking gadgets; neither is right or wrong, better or worse. Electricity is a commodity, a resource that you need to manage.

General tips

* Use items that last long with the charge they use. For example a ebook reader lasts a month. A tablet would last a couple of hours.

* Use the same type of battery in most items. For example my GPS and my torch are the only items that require batteries, both are AA. This way I only need one type of back-up battery.

* Use the same type of cable. For example phone, kindle and camera I charge with the same type of cable. . . .
