Employees from CDG Engineers presented an assessment of “Rock Island Trail Structures,” Sept. 3, at Bruce and Jan’s Sassmann’s Prairie Star Restoration Farm to members of Missouri Rock Island Trail, Inc., (MORIT) during a quarterly meeting.

The structure assessment, originally reviewed in 2006 at the request of Ameren Union Electric, was revised in 2010 as a “trail on the rail bed.” Glenn A. Smith and Gregory E. Brunkhorst presented the company’s assessment on structures that need to be renovated, or replaced, along the western side of the rail bed from Pleasant Hill to Windsor.
