MoBikeFed comment: We have been following this on MoBikeFed News since 2012. Finding the killer after all of these years is a testament to the persistent of Stone's family and the police.Charges have been filed in the 2012 slaying of jogger in Raytown.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Tuesday that Craig L. Brown, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Harry Stone, 67, was shot May 13, 2012, while jogging at about 7:20 a.m. at 67th and Blue Ridge Boulevard in Raytown. He died during surgery.
Random acts of violence against people who walk, run, and bicycle in their communities are rare, but a concern of everyone who walks, runs, or bicycles. We appreciate police and prosecutors who take these incidents seriously and pursue them as long as needed.
