A program that provides free bus rides for students and staff has proven popular at Missouri Western State University.

Western teamed up with St. Joseph Transit in August to offer the service — Griffons Ride Free — on a one-year trial run. All of the school’s students and employees can ride city buses on established routes for free as long as they show a Missouri Western ID card.

MoBikeFed comment: As this example shows, people in cities large, medium, and small across Missouri need access to transit, bicycling, and walking--and will use it if it is available.
