Summary of disability access to the Katy Trail, by trailhead | Missouri State Parks

MoBikeFed comment: This information is relevant to the current brouhaha in Jefferson City about allowing ATVs and golf carts on the Katy Trail. In fact Missouri State Parks has worked hard to ensure that the trail is as accessible to people with disabilities as possible.A synopsis of accessibility by trailhead going from St. Charles in the east, to Clinton in the west is below. Slopes between trailheads are minimal unless specifically mentioned. Benches are provided along the trail for resting. Some private road crossings are rough or uneven.
Perhaps disability access to the trail could be improved even more, but the solution is not to simply allow ATV access to the trail in a blanket manner.
