If you want a quieter, more leisurely ride around town during your visit to Hermann, John Lewis just might have what you’re looking for.

Bike Hermann can get you around town on two wheels. And you can even get some help with peddling up some of Hermann’s more-challenging hills.

The bike shop at 403 Market St. that opened in June is finding there, indeed, is a market for a bike rental operation. Especially one with new models that feature motor-assisted peddling.

Lewis, an educator by profession, decided Hermann was a good place to offer bike rentals. He talked to the folks at Katy Trail Rides in Defiance, a popular stop in St. Charles County on the Katy Trail.
After talking with those folks, Lewis said he was convinced to give a bike rental shop a try, something completely different than what he as used to do.
