370 Pedestrian Bridge

Project Description

This project will install barrier separated, bicycle pedestrian paths on the 370 bridges protecting bicyclists and pedestrians that cross from St. Charles to St. Louis County. Currently bicyclists and pedestrians are not shielded from high speed traffic along this route making it uncomfortable to use the crossing. When complete, the project will connect the Katy Trail on the St. Charles side of the river to the Riverwoods Trail in Bridgeton.

MoBikeFed comment: Follow the link for more information about this vital and long-awaited project.

It will link trails on both sides of the Missouri River, and eventually link St Charles & St Louis Counties directly to both the statewide Katy Trail and statewide Rock Island Trail.

Major kudos to the adjoining communities, MoDOT, and Great Rivers Greenway, who all pulled together to make this project happen.

As you an see from the project status page, the project is fully funded. Now we are just waiting for the construction work to begin!
