The purpose of this project is to develop a bicycle and pedestrian Master Plan for the City of St. Charles. The Master Plan will be a joint effort to improve walking and bicycling between the City of St. Charles Public Works Department, City of St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department and Trailnet.

The Plan will provide a blueprint for the development of pedestrian and bicycle improvements throughout the community, making it safer and easier to reach local destinations, including parks, schools, transit and commercial areas.

A planning team has identified and analyzed conditions for walking and bicycling, obtained residents’ input and made recommendations to create a more interconnected, safe, and convenient network of sidewalks, on-street bike facilities and street crossings.
