MoBikeFed comment: Sidewalks are basic city infrastructure - but something that is all too often overlooked.Kansas City dedicates $5 million per year to sidewalk repair and maintenance as a part of the $800 million GO KC capital improvement program approved by voters in 2017. City staff will host four virtual public meetings next month to identify the biggest priorities and focus areas for the program as we work to improve and rebuild sidewalks in all neighborhoods.
Kudos to BikeWalkKC for raising this issue in the GO Bonds funding discussion and to Kansas City to continuing to devote this level of funding to the city's sidewalks
