MoBikeFed comment: Lowriding 2 Success is an excellent program for local youth - "designed to help our youth REIMAGINE their lives, through building bikes, mentorship, life skills and guidance, all while building their self worth.""They were fist-closed, balled up, punching her in the face like she was a man. And it was sad to see. It was sad to see," said Rudy Perez of the Lowriding 2 Success Bike Club, located across the street.
Fifteen members of the club ran across the street to stop the attack.
Hearing the woman's screams, Perez said, "We started running towards over there, and we yelled because we wanted to stop the assault right away."
Lowriding 2 Success founder Martin Cervantes Sr. said his club rehabs bikes and troubled teens, and he wasn’t surprised his club members did not hesitate to help.
"It is the right thing to do, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. No hesitation... this is our village."
