Rock Island Trail bridge construction underway near Pleasant Hill

One of the major disconnects in the Rock Island Trail is being addressed with the construction of a bridge over the railroad tracks just south of Pleasant Hill.
Since the trail opened in 2016, the connection from the trail to Pleasant Hill has been difficult and convoluted because of the required crossing of a busy set of railroad tracks just south of town.
The new bridge and trail connection should be open later this year.
