Bolivar Street's streetscape may look a little nicer after this summer.
The Jefferson City Council unanimously approved a $398,000 contract with Concrete Solution to build a 10-foot-wide concrete trail on Bolivar Street.
The trail will be on the east side of the street and stretch from Missouri Boulevard to West Main Street.
A state grant will cover 80 percent, or $318,508, of the project cost, and the city will contribute almost $80,000 from city sales tax revenue. The city received the money for the project from the Missouri Department of Transportation in 2024.
