2004 Cottonwood 200
Cottonwood 200, presented by the Kaw Valley Bicycle Club--In its 28th year, the Cottonwood 200 is a three day loop ride from Topeka to Cottonwood Falls, Kansas and back on Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31, 2004. The route follows paved secondary roads through the beautiful Flint Hills and crosses parts of the Santa Fe Trail. On Saturday and Sunday nights riders stay at Council Grove, a stop on the Santa Fe Trail and home to many historic sites. Sunday’s round trip to Cottonwood Falls includes visits to the incredible Chase County courthouse and the renowned Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. The $50 entry fee includes SAG stops, Sunday breakfast and dinner. Further information and a registration form can be found at the website listed above or by emailing the ride director.
