KCStar gives Kansas City area MetroGreen trail-building effort an "A"

A recent Kansas City Star editorial grade Kansas City's progress on a variety of issues that have been identifed by community leaders as important for the region's development. Each of the ten areas was graded on a scale from "A" to "F". Among the grades was this:
Network of bike/hike trails: A

Fueled by funds from taxpayers, trails are being built and connected at a rapid pace throughout the metropolitan area in a program called MetroGreen. The Mid-America Regional Council has formed a MetroGreen Alliance that will help raise money, interest and political support for trails.
