St. Louis company promotes bicycle-friendly workplace
A St. Louis BizJournals story highlights the planned headquarters for HOK, which will include a number of environmental and community-friendly features:
The new space will include a community center with a library and café, and will use sustainable materials such as recycled rubber tile, cork flooring, sealed concrete floors, skylights, and lockers and shower rooms to promote bicycle transportation.
The company will seek Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the new facility.
