Springfield man fixes up and gives away bikes
According to a Springfield News-Leader article:
Retired police officer Terry Smith had a little time on his hands, so he fixed up an old bicycle he'd gotten at a garage sale.
Then he talked to the Hollister Police Department, which gave him 20 bicycles it had accumulated.
"That's how I got started," Smith said, gazing at the 50 shiny bicycles filling his garage.
He's repaired about 60 and has already given some away.
