According to an article in this week's Raytown Tribune, Bikes and Trikes has had over 1000 volunteers help out this year and has distributed over 2100 bicycles to children.

According to the Bikes and Trikes web site:
The organization was started in 1989 as a community service effort of Oldies 95, KCMO-FM. The donations and requests have grown steadily since then. In 1993, Bikes and Trikes for Tykes became chartered as a not-for-profit organization in the State of Missouri, and continues to operate with a 12 member board governing its actions. Oldies 95 is still involved, donating air time and on-site promotions for our pickup sites.
