The Joplin Trails Coalition has been very active in creating and mainting trails in the Joplin area. On the Coalition's new web site you find information about the Frisco Greenway Trail, which runs north from Joplin about 3.5 miles to Carl Junction, and the Ruby Jack Trail, which will run 16 miles west of Carthage to the Missouri-Kansas state line.
The Trails Coalition is sponsoring the "Maple Leaf Bike Ride" October 14th. The ride will raise funds for the Ruby Jack Trail.
