BikeMo (Oct 14th) in Jefferson City News Tribune

The Jefferson City News-Tribune reports:
Biking enthusiasts from around the state will gather at the BikeMO 2006: Fall Foliage Extravaganza on Saturday at the Holts Summit Plaza in hopes of raising funds and awareness of the need for more pedestrian and biking facilities in the state.

“This is the only ride in the state that is a fund-raiser specially to make the state a better place to walk and ride a bicycle,” said Caryn Giarratano, the state bicycle and pedestrian coordinator with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Riders participating have three route choices: 32-, 62- and 100-mile routes. The ride is fully supported with periodic rest stops and support and gear (SAG) vehicles.
