Ozark Greenways to give away FREE bicycles
FREE BICYCLES!
In the spirit of upcoming Bike to Work Week, Ozark Greenways announces a new bicycle give-away program. Interested individuals must fill out an application, (attached) and mailed to Lori Tack at Ozark Greenways by April 27th.
Applicants will need to write a short essay on how they intend on using the new bicycle, which will be reviewed by a local panel of judges, and winners will be announced May 4th. A total of at least 8 bicycles will be awarded.
Recipients will receive:
§ A new bicycle, helmet and bicycle computer.
§ Two health screenings one prior to award of bicycle, and again after Labor Day 2007.
§ League of American Bicyclists Road I Class (A bicycle safety course)
§ Periodic interviews over the course of the spring and summer of 2007
The mission of the program is to Change people s lives, one bike at a time.
The program is sponsored Ozark Greenways, and funded by a federal transportation grant, as well as the following local companies:
§ Watts Radiant
§ St. Johns
§ Sunshine Bike Shop
§ A&B; Cycle
