Bridging the Gap, a nonprofit organization in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a project manager for their alternative transportation program.
Deb Ridgway, who has now moved on to become Kansas City, Missouri's, first Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator, has built this into a good program--there is some potential there for someone who knows how to work in a nonprofit environment and make a program grow.

Bridging The Gap
Clean Commute Project Manager
Position Summary
Bridging The Gap (BTG) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to serve as the project manager for our Clean Commute program, a program designed to reduce air pollution by encouraging businesses and individuals to use alternative transportation options for work and utilitarian trips.
This position requires experience and abilities in project management, project implementation and documentation, community partnerships, volunteer management, and public speaking. Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, computer and organizational skills are also necessary. A desire to work for an organization that makes a positive difference in our community is essential.
The ideal candidate will be a frequent personal user of alternative transportation options in our community (walk, bike, bus, car pool). The successful candidate will be comfortable working with businesses, college students and University staff, and community partners to implement Clean Commute options. This person will project manage and implement the activities of Bridging The Gap’s Clean Commute program and be responsible for tracking and evaluating project results, maintaining key community relationships, outreach and marketing.
Candidates will need flexibility in scheduling as some night and weekend meetings and activities will be required. A degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. Position may be hired as either part time or full time.
