KC "Route of Champions" ride announced Sept 9th

Organizers in Kansas City have announced the "Route of Champions" ride, which will allow bicyclists to ride the route the Tour of Missouri riders will take just two days later.

The ride costs only $25 and has 14, 36, and 70 mile route options.

The ride will start promptly at 8:00 AM on Sunday morning, September 9th in front of reVerse on the Country Club Plaza at the corner of Ward Parkway and Jefferson. All three routes start and end at this same location.

Three distance options:
14 miles (Plaza to downtown loop)
36 miles (Plaza to Parkville loop)
70 miles (Full Stage 1 loop)
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Eldon Roush,
a local Kansas City Cat 3 racer who was seriously injured in a bike race on April 28th of this year.

There will be a post ride event at reVerse, as well as prizes and a raffle. You won't want to miss the fun and the opportunity to ride the route that the pros will be riding in the inaugural Tour of Missouri race.
