Laurie Chipman receives Environmental Excellence Award

Laurie Chipman, long-time MoBikeFed Board Member and Vice-President, has received an Environmental Excellence Award from Kansas City-based Bridging the Gap.

No one is more deserving of this type of award than Laurie, who spent countless hours helping MoBikeFed get off the ground. She designed MoBikeFed's logo, created issues of the newsletter, ran advocacy campaigns, attended meetings, started MoBikeFed's monthly email newsletter, raised funds, help run BikeMO, and did too many other things to even mention.

And volunteering for MoBikeFed is only one of Laurie's contributions to the community.

Here is the announcement of Laurie's award:
Congratulations are in order for Laurie Chipman who is a 2007 recipient of the Bridging the Gap Environmental Excellence Award for Individuals. She was nominated by a group of cycling friends, The Laurels for Laurie Committee, and 134 fellow cyclists and friends signed on to support the nomination.

Below is the web address and information on the Bridging the Gap Award Ceremony. We hope to see you there. Your presence would be an added boost to Laurie that evening.
