The Katy Trail is the national Rail-Trails Conservancy's Trail of the Month for September 2007:
The Katy Trail Rail-trails can have more than a recreational meaning for their users, and this month's honoree-the 225-mile Katy Trail in Missouri-resonates well beyond the footfall of sneakers and the whir of bicycle tires.
