Katy Trail extension east of St Charles delayed again

According to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article:
The long-delayed completion of the eastern tip of the Katy Trail has been held up again, forcing hikers and cyclists to wait until at least next fall to sample it.

Sue Holst, a spokeswoman for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, said wet weather last year and this spring had kept trucks loaded with gravel for the trail off a levee over which part of the 11-mile stretch will run.
They are now waiting for a combination of dry enough weather and equipment availability. DNR hopes to have the work done some time this summer.

The work will complete an 11-mile stretch on the eastern end of the Katy Trail from St. Charles to Machens.
