Senate Hearing Jan 27th on bill to ban texting while driving

Senator Ryan McKenna has introduced SB701, a bill to ban texting while driving for drivers of all ages.

Last year a bill was passed banning texting while driving for drivers under the age of 21.  McKenna's bill will expand the prohibition on texting to all drivers.

Reducing distracted driving--one of the top causes of motor vehicle injuries and deaths--is one of the top priorities in MoBikeFed's Legislative Platform

Improving roadway safety is one of the top priorities in our Vision for Bicycling and Walking--because it seems that people who bicycle or walk end up taking the brunt of dangerous driving more than their fair share.
