Advocacy Alert! Support the Tour of Missouri today
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Fri, 03/19/2010 - 3:14pm
The Missouri Division of Tourism has cut all state support for the 2010 Tour of Missouri.
We're asking fans of the Tour of Missouri to contact key elected officials to ask them to support the Tour of Missouri in 2010--it will take only a small amount of state support to make the Tour happen again in 2010, but if the Tour disappears for 2010 it will be gone forever.
These are the most important people to contact:- Governor Jay Nixon: online contact form, Phone: (573) 751-3222
- Tourism Director Katie Steele Danner: DirectorMoTourism@ded.mo.gov, 573-751-3051

Suggested message:
I support the Tour of Missouri because it brings economic development to large and small cities across Missouri, because it is one of the very top international sporting events in the world, because millions of fans like me love it, and because it will take only a small amount of state support to continue the Tour of Missouri in 2010.
