Thank you, Bicycle and Pedestrian Day at the Capitol and Legislative Session 2013 Sponsors and Supporters

A HUGE thank you goes to the supporters, sponsors, members, and donors who made Capitol Day 2013 and our 2013 Legislative Platform possible.

Thanks to your membership, financial support, and advocacy, we have achieved the three major goals we set out for the 2013 Legislative Session:

  • We stopped the proposed Bicycle Ban Bill in its tracks - thanks to your many calls and email messages, plus the work of our lobbyist in Jefferson City, the bill never even received a committee hearing.
     
  • The $8 billion Missouri transportation proposal included bicycle and pedestrian funding when it was passed by the General Assembly - the first EVER transportation funding proposal in the history of Missouri to build bicycling, walking, and transit right into the Missouri's transportation priorities.  It has taken years of preparation and work to make this possible, but your support during the 2013 legislative session is the icing on the cake that turned it from possibility into reality.
     
  • We successfully identified legislative sponsors for our top legislative priorities for 2014--so we are in good shape to move forward with a strong legislative agenda next year.
