Bike lanes added to Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City
Bike lanes have been added to Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Mo.
Southwest Trafficway Bicycle LanesBike-Walk-KC said the Boulevard is a popular route into downtown Kansas City, Mo., for commuters from Kansas City, Kan., and northern Johnson County.
“Having the facilities not only encourages more people to bike, it also gives them safer places to do it,” said Eric Rogers, Bike-Walk-KC. “It gives people another option besides just driving to work alone and gives people an option for recreation fitness exercise.”
BikeWalkKC has much more information about this project, which will add bicycle lanes to one of the most important corridors in the metro area, connecting downtown Kansas City to many other neighborhoods.
