Capitol Day 2014: Our Asks - support bicycling in state transportation funding, oppose bicycle ban
This year's Capitol Day is one of our most important ever. You can still register to attend here.

Participants at Bicycle and Pedestrian Day at the Capitol 2014, Monday April 7th in Jefferson City will address four VERY important issues for bicyclists, pedestrians, runners, and trail users in Missouri:
1. Specifically: Oppose Rep. Curtman's Amendment (5302H02.01F) to HJR 68 to remove bicycling from the state transportation funding proposal
2. Generally: Support inclusion of funding for bicycling, walking, and transit in this HJR 68/SJR 48 and any future state transportation funding proposals
3. Oppose Rep. Korman's HB 2279 to ban bicycles from certain state highways
4. Work with us to ensure that MoDOT and Missouri MPOs and RPCs in your district include needed bicycle and pedestrian elements in the Project List they are developing for the Transportation Funding Proposal
If you can't join us Monday, please be sure to contact your own legislator to ask your legislator to opposed Rep. Curtman's amendment to remove bicycling from the transportation funding proposal, HJR 68.
Advocacy Alert and instructions on that important issue are here.
