When Missouri Rock Island Trail (MORIT) officers meeting in Jefferson City earlier this month encouraged supporters to spread good will to trail opponents, David Sprecker took their suggestion to heart.

At a meeting Thursday hosted by the Morgan and Benton County Farm Bureau in Stover, Mo., Sprecker offered to lend a hand with building fences if opponents would change their opinions on the proposed trail.
