Cape Girardeau's Riverfront Park Trail is about to get a little longer.

Crews are already working to extend the south end of the trail near the Themis Street flood gate. The far southern end of the trail is currently closed to foot and bike traffic as crews work to pave nearly another quarter mile of trail at the end of the existing bike path.
