I support Missouri House Bill 1198 — sponsored by Rep. Eric Burlison — which would transition paying the Missouri Department of Transportation's employees from existing fuel tax revenue to the general fund over a span of 10 years. This proposal would produce nearly $450 million for building and maintaining existing infrastructure without increasing the tax burden on the household budgets of families across Springfield and Missouri.
