First-in-nation Walk Friendly Community Training in KC: Kansas City making strides to become walk-friendly - KCTV5

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

For anyone that has noticed bad sidewalks in their neighborhood, Tuesday is the day to let the city know about it.

Safety officials with the University of North Carolina will be in Kansas City to survey just how walkable the city is. The team will be looking for cracks in the sidewalks and bushes covering the sidewalk.

Issues like that don't help the walk-friendly score for Kansas City, and that is what the KC Healthy Kids organization is trying to change.

The two-day workshop will cover what it takes to be a walkable city.
