In January of this year we asked you to speak up for including a safe place to walk and bike on the new Route 92 Centennial Bridge over the Missouri River, connecting Leavenworth and Platte Counties. The Kansas Department of Transportation heard you loud and clear!

Half of all public comments on this project mentioned bicycling and walking. This week KDOT announced that the planned bridge will now include a 10-foot multi-use path, filling an important gap in the regional trail system.

MoBikeFed comment: BikeWalkKC is doing a great job of leading local and regional advocacy in the Kansas City area. The Route 92 bridge project is just one of many projects they are involved in throughout the region.
