Warrensburg's Spirit Trail moves forward with bid for Phase I - Daily Star-Journal: Local

fter several delays due to design concerns, Phase I of the Spirit Trail is ready for bidding.

The Missouri Department of Transportation posted an invitation to bid on MoDOT’s website Tuesday. . . .

The trail, when completed, will extend from Warrensburg through Knob Noster State Park to Whiteman Air Force Base.

The Johnson County Spirit Trail Coalition will construct Phase II of the trail to the park boundary, and the Missouri Division of Parks will build the trail’s final phase through the park.

Randy White, executive director of the Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission, said design work needs to be completed on the section of trail between Southeast 581 Road and the park boundary.
