In January, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx challenge U.S. mayors to take a challenge for "Safer People, Safer Streets".

Sec. of Transportation Foxx challenges U.S. mayors to make Safer People, Safer Streets
Challenge communities work to improve the city for bicycling and walking, working for greater safety and accessibility for everyone.
So far, 230 mayors nationwide have taken the challenge.
We are very pleased that six Missouri cities, ranging from the very largest to the smallest, have stepped up to take the challenge:
- Kansas City
- St Louis
- Columbia
- Lee's Summit
- Wildwood
- Warsaw
If your city is not on the list, it's not too late for your mayor and your city to take the challenge. Visit the Mayor's Challenge page for more information.
