On Thursday morning, KC Streetcar #801 performed test runs under its own power for the first time. During the test run, KC Streetcar crews checked the clearance, power, overhead wires, visibility and handling of the vehicle in its new environment. . . .

Streetcar #801 is the first of four vehicles that will transport people through the $100 million starter route in downtown Kansas City. If everything goes as planned, the streetcar should be ready to go in March just in time for the Big 12 tournament at the Sprint Center.
