Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

BikeWalkKC has been awarded $70,000 from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City (HCF) to expand our current Safe Routes to School work and engage the wider community, building a community network of care in under served areas of Kansas City. We believe that all neighborhoods, especially those with limited transportation access and poor health outcomes, deserve quality places to live, work and play and access to physical activity.

This grant will allow us to increase staffing resources, especially with the addition of community organizers and leaders to support neighborhoods creating a culture around safe walking and biking activities.

MoBikeFed comment: BikeWalkKC is one of several bicycle and pedestrian advocacy groups who are doing excellent work at the local and metro-wide levels.
